Now that this new update has started rolling out to everyone, I thought I would share a gif I made, which was originally going to accompany the announcement on our staff blog before we opted to make a video instead. Peter felt that we should still post it somewhere because it took me (with a little help from topherchris) a whole work day to make this because I was editing it frame by frame in Photoshop.
I’m pretty happy with how it came out, but I’m glad we went with the video instead. It’s so awesome to have these new release out there to our users. I remember seeing mockups of it over a year ago when I started at Tumblr.
